"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

'HOME & AWAY'

So much league based sport is culminating soon throughout the world and teams that win championships win enough games at home but also away. Consistent performance guarantees a shot at the title.

As believers, we are not competing to win such a prize and it's not about 'performance,' it's about obedience. Jesus' heart and our mission from Him has to be 'home & away' as well - will we faithfully and lovingly share the greatest news ever with those close to us and can we help others do the same further away?

Here are a few recent highlights of the Lord at work through our network as we seek to 'win people' at home and away.

Standing with us in prayer and financial giving helps us do just that - thank you so much

COUNTRIES

We are privileged to have started new partnering teams recently in Myanmarand Palestine.
These precious nations currently contain approximately just 5% and 2% of Christians respectively - lot's to do, but the Lord is on the move!

Real obstacles from rockets flying overhead during war to genuine persecution from authorities, make mission difficult, yet not impossible and God has raised up some passionate kingdom building men and women who are now friends and partners.

One of the two new teams in Myanmar wasted no time in getting going by staging two outreaches before we had finished Level 1 Training with them - wow! 100 men were reached for Jesus through a local football tournament and 75 street children and youth through a sports Camp.

One of them was Thu Thu Htun

Deep inside, Thu Thu Htun lived with many fears—she was afraid of her parents, her teachers and ghosts. Even though she smiled on the outside, her heart was often troubled and uncertain.
Everything changed during the Sports Camp. At first, she joined in just to play and be with her friends, but one moment during the camp deeply touched her heart; she watched a video clip explaining the gospel and for the first time, she clearly understood the seriousness of sin and the reality of eternity. That day, Thu Thu Htun made a decision she had resisted for so long—she believed in Jesus and accepted Him as her Saviour.
Since that moment, she says her life has been filled with a new kind of joy and freedom, the fears that once controlled her heart have begun to disappear, replaced by peace and confidence in God’s love. She now enjoys spending time with her parents without fear and happily joins her friends at church. One of the most beautiful changes is her eagerness to grow—Thu Thu Htun is now actively memorising Scripture, hiding God’s Word in her heart.

Thank You Lord.

CITIES

In Kathmandu, Nepal, the team recently staged the 'Easter Cup' where 6 teams entered to compete and spectators came to watch. In total 300 people in that city heard the great news about Jesus and now regular sports based follow-through begins.

Locally here in the UK, our Easter camps with 200 children in four different areas of Bristol & Bath have just finished with experiential learning and relationship building leading to 35 of them choosing to follow Jesus.

In Bujumbura, Burundi, football tournaments and linked detached street outreach in multiple suburbs recently meant that 6,140 people were reached by team members with 911 of them deciding to begin following Jesus.

Glory to God.

COMMUNITIES

In Naivasha, Kenya our partnering team had an opportunity to reach and support an inmate of the maximum security prison there. 'D,' a relative of a team member has been inside for 26 years and was in a depressive condition having received no visitors for a year with news needing to be shared with him about the passing of his dear Mother who was buried the day before the visit.

It was a tough moment, but God's peace enveloped their time together and 'D' stated that he greatly appreciated the love and time shown by team members, choosing to forsake a meal in favour of the companionship. He was also left with soap, toilet paper, toothpaste & brush, slippers and better than anything - a Bible.

Please pray for 'D' and ongoing prison ministry throughout the network.
