Ministry Focus

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-19

Happy New Year everybody!
New Year, same mission.

Same mission because it's the Great Commission, and just like Jesus meant it then for then to His team, He means it now for now to His team - you and I.

Notice the three key elements to verse 19:
1. Make Disciples - develop learners & followers of Jesus.
2. Of all Nations - every people group in every place.
3. Baptising them - turning to Jesus and baptised in water.

This is Jesus' heart and He promises His help.

"Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

You can't have verse 19 without verses 18 and 20.
What we can do is based upon who He is and that He's with us all the way.

Below are a few highlights of some of what the Lord has done within the past month. Thank you for your ongoing interest, prayer and support and may this year be a blessed one for you and your family.

Stand strong!

                                                                       Making Disciples

In the UK, from a coach on a Christmas time sports camp:

"On our final day, God’s wonderful presence filled our team-talk as the Holy Spirit dropped into the children’s hearts the truth around why God gave us Jesus at Christmas and what that really means. Seeing 11 of them choose to want Jesus or more of Jesus, responding by literally putting their feet in as a sign of committment, was a complete joy."

Other new disciples:
In Rwanda, the team in Kigali, staged a Youth Sports Camp and saw 31 teenagers choose to begin following Jesus.

In Burundi, two different sports ministry teams staged a variety of outreaching projects including men's football tournaments and Kids Games, witnessing 701 people respond by wanting to know Jesus.

Glory to God.

Could you help us touch more lives?

                                                                             All 'Nations'

In Kenya, our partnering team in Naivasha continued their heartfelt journeying with people with disabilities. An 'All Ability Fun Day' for young people who are blind/ visually impaired was inclusion at its finest! From blind football, goal-ball, jogging and tandem cycling, Jesus was shared and believers encouraged within this precious people group.

In Burundi, teams were activated to engage 2,775 precious souls from many different people groups using sports games and other means in public squares, schools, nearby hospitals and a local prison. Amazingly, 1,039 people chose to begin a relationship with Jesus from this.

Praise God!

Could you also lead in Sports Ministry?

  Baptising Them

In the DRC and in Burundi last month, teams had the privilege of partnering with local churches to help baptise new believers through sports ministry activities.
What a joy to see the outward commitment of a new inner reality from these precious people who have begun their journey with Jesus.
